You know that you have lessons to learn, tasks to do, and experiences that you need to experience. You have a plan that you should stick to. Although due to circumstances and your free will, you won’t comply with it in 100%. However, you have a chosen direction in which to follow. You know also what circumstances you can meet on the route. It is a bit like your internal google maps with a set route and current traffic status on the road.
You also know that on your way, at some stage, you will meet your travel companions who will help you in your travel and plan implementation. But how people connected with you will help you complete your task or do your homework? The concept of karma and contracts appears here.
What is karma?
Certainly, you have heard this concept more than once, or you even used it yourself, but do you know what it means? What is karma?
Karma is an intense emotional experience with someone which causes some imbalance in the participants. Therefore, each participant in this experience must go through it again, but his time from the perspective of the second participant in this experience.
For example, if you rob someone, the other person will rob you, so that you both experience both sides of the intensity of this event. If you will, for example, persecute someone because of sexual orientation, in the next incarnation you will have a different sexual orientation and you will be persecuted. Karma is an extreme experience and it is equivalent by experiencing the opposite of this experience.
In one lifetime you will not get all karma returned, so you need many lives to pay off all your karma. In this way, you will learn wisdom and balance. And the universe itself will remain in balance. You will always experience two sides of the coin.
People in karmic situations will behave illogically to outsiders. Sometimes they are even accused of lack of character. They are not able to receive any advice from an outsider, they are unable to change their behavior, they feel compelled to be stuck in a given situation, and to continue it until the end.
There is no such concept as bad or good karma. It all depends on the reception of its intensity by you.
Karma just happens, you don’t have to initiate it. When you approach a karmic situation, you can decide that you will not take it. You can put it away for later or for another life. But when you get into this situation, you have to stay there until the very end.
You will notice that this is the end because the whole intensity of this situation will disappear.
How to deal with karma?
First, you must recognize that you are in a karmic situation and try to make it as enjoyable as possible for you. Do not fight it, do not try to make it more difficult than it is. We play a lot of karmic situations at the beginning of our lives, in our youth.
When you are near someone with whom you have strong karmic ties, you can be drawn into the vortex of emotions and other forces that you do not understand. Sometimes you can feel blinded. The more you try to maintain objective, neutral awareness, the better you can cope with this situation.
Sometimes you may even have the feeling that you have a lot of repayment karma and you know it will not be pleasant. You may even be scared, but the more you prepare yourself for this situation, the more resistant you will be to it.
There are also specific varieties of karma such as sexual karma or self-karma.
The first one is very obvious and intense. It concerns a situation in which you are obsessed with some people for no apparent reason. The intense sexual desire of another person, despite the lack of similarities. You have nothing to do but you can not break your relationship. And then suddenly, without a reason, you finish the relationship. In such a relationship you have no choice, you can not want it, hate it, or love it, but you can not stop.
Self-karma is a challenge that you have taken up in your life. It may apply to other people, but without involving them. For example, you always attract one particular type of man. Your lesson is that you have to learn how to deal with them, how to preserve your self-esteem in your relationship of how to avoid them. They do not necessarily have to have some karma with you. If this man does not feel the intensity of the relationship with you, he remains neutral, it is not a karmic relationship. Only you have karma to yourself in this case.
Another example of self-karma may be addictions or other challenges that you can not overcome and you feel are karmic. Fighting this karma will only drive the intensity of this challenge. The best way to survive it is tolerance and acceptance. Understanding the factors that trigger your own karma will also help you reduce its negative effects.
The process of balancing karma is called karmic debt.
There are 7 levels of karmic debts, of which 80% of those you usually deal with in life are those from level 1-4. Repaying debt from the seventh level usually takes several lives.
Level one – a simple exchange debt.
It’s about a situation where you made me a favor, so I am giving you a favor. It serves to remind us of the larger debts from previous lives. Simple debts often to pay off immediately.
Level two – support or break in the everyday flow.
This debt concerns situations involving the loss of trust in another person, eg. someone will betray someone.
Level three – emotional attachment.
It usually applies to pets, children, relatives, good friends, and important material things. It applies to things to which one of the parties is emotionally attached. For example, someone kidnapped somebody’s child.
Level four – personal power.
It applies to situations in which your sense of personal power has been violated, i.e. the place where you live or work or something you identify with, e.g. someone has burned your home.
Level five – expression.
This applies to situations that affect who you are. Your way of expressing yourself, e.g. your life. So, for example, the murder will be a karmic debt from the level.
Level six – integrity debt.
It’s about a situation where libel or slander has occurred in a way that ruined someone’s reputation. For example, slavery, imprisonment, mutilation.
Level seven – the debt of personal knowledge.
It concerns the situation related to your ability to connect the situation with something bigger, the universe. This applies to leaders who intentionally crease false, negative, or destructive information or beliefs that harm others.
As part of your self-awareness exercise, you can try to look at your life from a karma perspective. Take a list of karmic debt levels and try to identify people and events that seem to you the most complicated to interact with. Probably it will be your karmic relationships. You can also try to arrange them by level.
